Last month’s fundraiser was a rousing success! Together with a handful of very generous friends, we were able to raise $404 to charity, so that’s pretty cool. I’m going to be dividing that money donated in half to give to relief for those affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, and to those affected by the mass shooting in Las Vegas last month. Thank you guys so much for your help, you’ve literally octupled my capacity to give on my own! The money will be getting sent out on this upcoming Wednesday, November 15th. Look for a post on that Wednesday, I’ll have all the details on here then! Also, a huge congratulations to my good friend Alicia for winning the bluetooth speaker that was up for grabs for donating!
With how well the last one went, I’d love to do something else for the Christmas season. More details on that will be coming soon, and I’m still very open to suggestions on where to focus our efforts! For prizes I’m going to do the same thing as last time: Pick up a cool little electronic device with my own money for giveaway to one person who donates. Look forward to an announcement shortly after Wednesday! I’m not really a man of means by any means, but I really believe in that cliché starfish story. Let’s make a difference together!
